Opolis Secure Mail (http://www.opolis.eu) has worked on this issue for a number of years and just recently launched its service which allows file size transfers of up to a volume of 125MB. This seems sufficient to accommodate current demand. Opolis was originally established with a view to make email and document traffic more secure, as any file transfer is point-to-point encrypted. Hence, even if intercepted, documents can only be interpreted and read by the authorized recipient and nobody else. Further, with Opolis the sender has always full authority over how the recipient can further process a message. The sender decides whether the recipient may copy, print, respond to or forward a message or not. And, the sender is also empowered to monitor and follow the entire path of a message.
The access to the service of Opolis is easy and for free. Only requirement is that both, the sender and the recipient are Opolis users to ensure that large size documents are transmitted safely and entirely secure. Should demand indicate the requirement to further increase the current limit of 125MB, then Opolis has indicated that it will consider enabling the transmission of even larger documents.
